LED SIGNS: LED (short for “light-emitting diode”) signs consist of a small light source that emits colored light (in a rainbow of colors- red, green, yellow, blue, white, etc.) from a very small amount of electricity and is used for electronic “message” signs.
An LED display sign is usually a flat panel display, which uses an array of light-emitting diodes as a video display. An LED panel is a small display, or a component of a larger display.
A standard channel letter is a 3 dimensional graphic sign element. Its channel is fabricated from sheet metal, most often aluminum since it will not rust.
The channel letter can is painted and fitted with any lighting components necessary such as neon gas tubes or light-emitting diode (LED) modules.
Exposed neon channel letter signs resemble standard letters, but the neon is covered with a clear acrylic face to keep birds from making a nest in a channel letter.
